  1. Little question after the Matthysse-Molina epic that the Argentine is the heart and soul of the division, and the people’s champion.

Danny may be more technically accomplished, more multi-dimensional, and I think he’d win 6 or 7 times out of 10 against Matthysse. But I mean heart and soul — the stuff that cannot be intellectually quantified or dispassionately admired as skill.

Hats off to too to Molina, brave and very capable, for FOTY.

No hats off to Goossen who carelessly sent him out in the 11th after spending the entire break arguing with the ring doctor.

    • Molina looked a new man at 140 and fair play to him on a very strong effort

Goosen shouldnt have let him go out for the 11th, but his argument with the ring doctor was hilarious

Matthysse showed remarkable heart and resilience, but it was a worrisome performance in many ways. He may not be the fighter I thought him to be less than a year ago. His ceiling seems definite

      Brilliant fight though
