Lee has basically never utilized his reach well enough. He has the size to keep opponents on the outside but is often drawn into a war, where his defensive problems and questionable stamina are exploited.
He got it done early on his big night though, demonstrating his world class power and world class heart (not least in a tremendous & emotional post-fight interview)
